Sunamp, a Scottish manufacturer of batteries for domestic energy storage, has struck a deal with a Chinese firm to work together on developing new energy-saving products.
The East Lothian firm will work with Trina Solar on developing ways to use Sunamp’s batteries in conjunction with solar panels and heat pumps to reduce energy costs and carbon emissions.
Sunamp two years ago raised £3.2 million in a funding round.
The firm said the funding round was led by “an international private investor in the energy market” and included existing investors, Scottish Investment Bank, Par Equity, Equity Gap, Highland Venture Capital and Old College Capital.
