Scotland’s Smart Things Accelerator Centre (STAC) has launched a new programme aimed to “jumpstart” the nation’s Internet of Things (IoT) sector.
The Filament STAC accelerator will be supported by global leaders from tech companies including Dyson, Wistron, BlackBerry and Plexus.
The advisory board is made up of former Dyson chief executive Jim Rowan, Scottish EDGE chief executive Evelyn McDonald, PA Consulting’s Kim McCann, Angus MacFadyen of Gabriel Investment Syndicate, the University of Glasgow’s Craig Whittet, and Richard Lewis, who chairs and advises a number of tech start-ups in Scotland.
