Edinburgh-based VC firm Par Equity and serial entrepreneur Angus MacDonald earned an approximately 100-times return on an initial £250,000 provided through an Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) investment in ICS Learn, the Glasgow-based online education specialist, insider.co.uk can reveal.
Last Friday, ICS announced a management buy-out backed by private equity firm Primary Capital Partners, five years after Par and MacDonald invested in the “hidden gem” Glasgow-based qualifications company.
