Novosound develops pioneering ultrasound blood pressure monitor

Tech spin-out recently completed a £2m funding round led by Par Equity.

Novosound has developed what it claims to be the world’s first ultrasonic blood pressure monitor.

This breakthrough allows for the miniaturisation of blood pressure monitoring in wearable devices, including smartwatches and smart rings, achieving accuracy levels comparable to conventional electronic cuff devices.

Novosound recently completed a £2m funding round led by Par Equity, with participation from Kelvin Capital, University of the West of Scotland and Scottish Enterprise. This money should help accelerate the commercialisation of its ultrasound technology.
