Succession Planning to Build Value for Exit – 6th June 2017

For Investor Directors, Chairs, NXDs and CEOs

Designed for companies preparing for high growth where the board want to work together to effectively prepare to build strength and depth in their team ensuring that the founding team are able to work “on” not “in” the business and surround themselves with a strong and credible team at all levels.

Either following The Strategic Funding Plan or as a stand-alone workshop it gives the opportunity to bring together non-executive directors to share in best practice and invite CEOs to engage in participative learning to explore how to prepare for succession planning early. People are one of a company’s greatest assets and having strength and depth in the team, ensuring that the business is not reliant on one or two key individuals will add value to the company at exit. In addition risks will be lower and reliance reduced, while building leaders at all levels encourages and fosters continued improvement and innovation making the business a more attractive proposition for both exit and further investment. All roles including Exec and Non-Exec should have clear goals and measurements, with a view to succession in terms of benefit to the business and all stakeholders. Without open and regular discussion around these areas this becomes a taboo subject and can restrict future growth, the ability to attract good talent to the team and exit.
