Scottish EDGE Round 23 launches with a £1.5 million prize pot

Creative businesses in Scotland are set to receive a boost of up to £100,000 from Scottish EDGE thanks to the introduction of a new funding award in conjunction with Creative UK.

The award is just one of those forming the 23rd round of Scottish EDGE, which opens for applications today (7th February) and will offer a total of £1.5 million to high-growth Scottish businesses.

The inaugural Creative Award will aim to emulate the success of the previous Net Zero and Circular Economy awards, both of which have resulted in their respective sectors generating a significant increase in representation at the application and finalist stages.

To date, Scottish EDGE has supported 602 businesses, awarding over £25 million in grants and loans while helping to create 3500 jobs and increase turnover of awarded companies by £680 million.

In addition to the new Creative award, the Scottish EDGE suite of awards now consists of the core Scottish EDGE, Social Enterprise EDGE (supported by Postcode Innovation Trust) and Scottish Enterprise supported Young EDGE category, and Wild Card EDGE, as well as the specialist category awards: Scale EDGE (supported by Royal Bank of Scotland), Circular Economy EDGE (supported by Zero Waste Scotland), and STV Growth EDGE (supported by STV).

To apply, businesses will need to submit an application and a three-minute video pitch via the online portal at A panel of assessors will then review the submissions and select the semi-finalists.

If you are keen to apply and want to find out more then your first step to success could be to attend the Scottish EDGE virtual application workshop to get advice on crafting that perfect application.
