Dyneval, an Edinburgh-based agritech firm has secured a further £500,000 in funding for their semen analysis tool.
The portable tool is “easy-to-use” and requires no specific training to use – according to the company it produces the most accurate results on the market.
Semen analysis is vital in understanding the health of cattle herds and the potential for future numbers. The tool can produce sex-sorted semen concentrations to better predict the ratios of future herds and sort out the fertility of bulls.
Dyneveal is currently supported by Alistair Lang and Ollie Hoffort, from Thorton’s ventures and innovation team, with new funding from Kelvin Capital, Par Equity, Scottish Enterprise, and Gabriel Investments.
