The Prime Minister has launched a consultation on the design of a new tax relief for private investment in social enterprise, at the G8 Social Impact Investment Forum in London.
This follows the Chancellor’s announcement at Budget 2013 that the Government would introduce a new tax relief for private investment in social enterprise from 2014 and would consult on the detail by this summer.
The Government’s aim in introducing this new tax relief is to complement other Government initiatives in encouraging private investment in social enterprise and helping it to become a self sustaining industry in the long term.
