“Networking was the best aspect of the event”
This quote from a delegate at last year’s YCF annual conference sums up one of the main reasons why the event is so popular.
The conference has become an essential networking event for those in the ‘entrepreneurial eco-system’, including investors, universities, public sector agencies, professional advisers, incubators and accelerators – in short, anyone who is interested in helping young companies achieve their potential. We also have plenty of delegates from young companies, including presentations by experienced entrepreneurs – people who have already built businesses and can talk about their recent experiences – and a Showcase of start-up companies facing the same issues for the first time.
This year we look at why investors focus on teams rather than technology when deciding to make an investment, and what young companies can do to create and build successful teams. This gives us the opportunity to have speakers from a range of different vantage points, helping to create the mix of delegates which is so important for the networking.
The conference is on 13th September at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Edinburgh. There are further details of the event on the booking site ycf2019.eventbrite.co.uk and the full programme is on the YCF website www.ycfscotland.co.uk
There is a discounted rate for subscribers to YCF, and a special rate for founders of young companies.
Book a place at the conference (if you have not already done so), to catch up with acquaintances and make new contacts – we look forward to seeing you there!
